Giving / Development

St. James School relies heavily on the time, talent and financial contributions of its past and present community members. Tuition and fees finance 78% of the actual costs of educating our children. Contributions from our community members are used to bridge the gap between the tuition and the operating budget, as well as to finance capital improvements, increase financial aid, enhance technology, improve curriculum, and support salary increases for our outstanding faculty and staff.

Our current development efforts include Home and School Association Fundraisers, the St. James School Annual Fund, the St. James School Tuition Assistance Fund, and the St. James School Endowment Fund. Every gift matters and is greatly appreciated! 100% participation is our goal! Please help support Catholic Education at St. James.

G.R.A.C.E. Scholars, Inc. - The G.R.A.C.E. (Georgia Residents Assisting Children’s Education) Scholars Incorporation offers families the prospect to access a faith based, academically strong, and community based Catholic school in the State of Georgia. This program allows you to redirect a portion of you GA state taxes to St. James Catholic School so we may provide tuition assistance to students transferring from public schools as well as Pre-K and Kindergartent students.  The G.R.A.C.E. website will review and answer questions on how easy it is to become enrolled in a qualified school for a family and their children, as well as how to contribute to this cause and receive a 100% dollar-for-dollar tax credit. Explore and learn more about this opportunity by visiting www.gracescholars.org!

St. James School Annual Fund – Proceeds apply directly to the operating fund of the school and are used for various projects like new computers, new electronic “white boards” for classrooms, and a new security system for our children’s safety. Our students’ exposure to new technology has improved dramatically since the Annual Fund’s inception.  To donate, please make checks payable to the SJCS Annual Fund.

St. James School Scholarship Fund – St. James School tuition is outside the range of many local families; a problem becoming more prevalent in recent years as families finances are squeezed by lower wage increases and higher costs of living. The Tuition Assistance fund was created to ensure the future availability of faith based education to our community’s young people by assisting families with the cost of our tuition. To donate, please make checks payable to the SJCS Scholarship Fund.

Contributions can be in the forms of: Cash is the most standard and familiar way to give. Other Assets such as Appreciated Property, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Life Insurance gifts or Life Estate gifts can be given currently or distributed as a part of an estate plan.
